Latest Mobile Windows News: Ultimate failure Verizon paying customers to take the KIN August 05, 2010; [General] The KIN will go down as synonymous with epic failure, lasting less than 50 days on the market until official cancellation. Rumour has it however that hundreds of thousands of KIN phones are lying in warehouses around the country, and Verizon is offering deep discounts trying to get rid of them. No smart dial in Windows Phone 7 - it should be called Windows Phone 1.0 ! July 29, 2010; [General] It's pathetic. Windows Phone 7 is being developed by idiots. HTC hires 2 losers from Sony Ericsson and promotes existing managers July 29, 2010; [General] Why HTC has just hired people from Sony Ericsson - a company that is failing and losing market share over recent years? HTC has just hired losers to steer future of HTC from positions of "Chief Strategy Officer" and "Chief Product Officer". Geez, why did they do that? Brandon Watson from Microsoft: undeserved arrogance is back at Microsoft mobile July 28, 2010; [General] Windows Phone 7 has zero successes and plenty of deficiencies (lack of native apps, lack of copy and paste, no multitasking, very poor API), lags behind iPhone and Android by 3 years, but Microsoft employees think that they are masters of the universe (note the hip terms like "epic", "cool" and "sh*t") as one can see on the example of Brandon Watson: HTC introduces new displays with super in name, but not for Windows Phone (yet) July 26, 2010; [General] HTC is cooking several new Windows Phone 7 phones and we reckon that some of them will get these SLCD (super LCD) displays but for now only Android phones get them. We always were hoping that HTC's experiences with Android will boost HTC's Windows Phone cellphones and in this case we can be sure of it, we guess... MVPs angry at Microsoft! Reason: no FREE Windows Phone 7 cellphone for them July 26, 2010; [General] What a bunch of freeloaders!
If Microsoft is the Matrix, then MVPs are agents of the Matrix. But they need love, like everything does. And getting MSDN subscription (worth several thousand $) and Microsoft-paid trip to MVP summit in USA may be not enough... as they demand now: free Windows Phone 7 cellphones: Review: Windows Phone 7 cellphone from LG July 24, 2010; [General] Microsoft has kept its promise and delivered developer version of Windows Phone 7 handsets - roughly 3 months before official launch - yet in the month of July 2010! Here we are taking a look at a version made by LG... Firstly: the Windows Phone 7 phones that Microsoft has delivered in July to developers use only use the AT&T 3G band. For T-Mobile USA users it will work on EDGE only. Verizon Wireless and Sprint users are out of luck. This may be the sign that in USA, Windows Phone 7 will be launched at first at AT&T (what is not unexpected as AT&T was announced as "launch partner" during official Windows Phone 7 event, that we have visited in person), and indirect indication that exclusivity of iPhone at AT&T is about to end by the end of this year... Anywho, back to Windows Phone 7 phone made by LG: it comes in a box prepared by Micsrosoft with "developers, developers, developers" slogan on it (we'd prefer to see "big money to developers!" slogan instead): The 8-million rumor about Windows Phone 7 in USA is an inception July 22, 2010; [General] We don't believe in this rumor at all (it must be "inception" by Microsoft marketing folks), however it is spreading now, so let's take a look: New Nokia CEO from USA will pick Windows Phone 7 for future Nokia smartphones! July 20, 2010; [General] Things are changing and since Nokia is now in panic due to huge market-share loss in smarthone segment, Nokia decided that they will dump Kekkonen-style Finnish CEO and new one will come from USA! Zune service launched in some European countries! You can sign up! July 18, 2010; [General] Since Windows Phone 7 will have built-in Zune service into it, you can get a feeling and you can get ready few months before official launch of Windows Phone 7: Windows Phone podcast number 340 published July 18, 2010; [General] In this episode Alli (Alabama, USA), Joel (Georgia, USA), Ching (Washington DC, USA), Edward (Germany, EU), are chatting about Windows Phone news: Windows Phone podcast 340 Please listen to this podcast - it's the only podcast about Windows Phone that tells how it is! This is also the best podcast in the world about Windows Phone news, including KIN, Windows Mobile 6.5 and Windows Phone 7. Apart from Windows Phone you can hear in this podcast about the movie "Inception", Medieval Times and the recent situation on Twitter.
No iPhone 4 schadenfreude here - only unrelenting focus on Windows Phone July 16, 2010; [General] Today Apple was holding a press conference where it was announced that all users of iPhone 4 will get "bumper" cases to prevent users from touching external antenna and thus resolve the "issue" (and if not, they can return their phones no questions asked). Interestingly Samsung Omnia 2 Windows Mobile phone was presented during this press conference as an example of other smartphone having antenna "issues". We unfortunatley are observing other websites and sources mocking poor Apple and trying to attack iPhone 4. We don't think it is good idea. Firstly what is "schadenfreude"? Like "gesundheit" it is one of several German words that do exist in English language although people with lesser knowledge of English don't know it: Former Wal-Mart employee Brian Kevin Turner says: iPhone 4 = Vista July 15, 2010; [General] Brian Kevin Turner is one of those responsibility-free (cannot be fired because it not responsible for specific product) douche bags that Microsoft hired on very high positions to utter idiocies about strategies. Brian Kevin Turner is hardly an expert in mobility considering that before getting millions of dollars from Microsoft, he was working at Wal-Mart - hardly an innovative company. Brian Kevin Turner during Worldwide Partner Conference babbled this nonsense: More smoke and mirrors about Windows Phone 7: Windows Phone Live and more pep talk July 13, 2010; [General] Free 25GB of storage for all Windows Phone 7 users? Hm, but who will trust data to Microsoft... ? Another slap in the face to Windows Mobile users: Silverlight now in Ovi store July 09, 2010; [General]
We have been reporting previously about Silverlight beta being available for Symbian and now it is available in Ovi Store i.e. Nokia app store and funnily enough Microsoft-haters gave it only one star (minimum possible): Previous page   |
